State Migration Service of Ukraine has launched the online tool for checking the Latin spelling of Ukrainian name and surname
More likely many of us have encountered a problem of the Latin spelling of proper Ukrainian names and surnames when translating personal documents. In some cases an international travel document may be not available or even absent at the time of translation. The solution for this and other related problems has been already found – the State Migration Service of Ukraine launched the online tool for checking the Latin spelling of Ukrainian name and surname both in the national ID (plastic one) and international travel document. Anyone may enter his personal data in Ukrainian and get the right spelling thereof in the Latin letters (as it shall be written in official documents). Transliteration rules are regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Ordinance d/d 27 January 2010, No. 55. For making use of the service, go to:
